Cooperation with Pepal: Education in Uganda

Last week, Harry Barkema started a training programme in Uganda for Pepal, a social enterprise that facilitates partnerships between the private and non-profit sectors to achieve sustainable social change in the developing world.

The participants, strategically paired individuals from private and non-profit sectors, explore how to build economically sustainable and scalable business models that address the needs of women, children and marginalized communities in Uganda. Participants work together, remotely and face-to-face, over six months to refine, test and implement their projects before coming together again in Kampala in March 2011.
